How we started

We have been engaged in the production of sports surfaces since 2001 when we managed to develop polypropylene tiles for inline hockey. The first area was laid in Zlín with the help of the players of the ice hockey team and it was received with great success. It was 4 years after the first world championship in inline hockey played on the artificial surface.

In 2003, the FIRS inline hockey world championship was used for the first time by Stilmat and it turned out that a small company from the Czech Republic is able to qualify internationally for the international test of the highest level.

We have managed to establish cooperation with the international federation of roller sports,

which is still maintained and works perfectly on both sides. The Stilmat Company is responsible for the development of inline hockey in various parts of the world by supporting small clubs and federations, and above all delivering the finest and most affordable surfaces in the world.

Since 2008, we’ve moved our production to our own roof and from now on we are able to control the quality of 100% of our products and always deliver to the customer only the surface that has passed under our hands.

Polypropylene tiles for inline hockey are some of the most complicated plastic moldings that are produced and therefore deserve care. The surface must withstand hard impacts, rapid changes of direction, hockey strikes and player crashes while retaining a completely flat shape and monolithic appearance.

We move forward

We continually develop our surfaces and try to move the whole sport forward. We test new materials, change tile design, test new technologies in production, and because we are players ourselves we try everything and present to the customer the products that are best suited to the game.
